In the words of Peter, this book (or better to say a compilation of notes) is about how to build companies that create new things. Zero to One has been on my brother’s bookshelf from quiet some time, I came across many recommendations that put this book at the top of their reading wishlist. This book contains some interesting concepts about capitalism, markets, and how we should view the business/ tech world. Peter, being a conservative, you can find his views sprinkled all over the book that you may disagree with. But overall a nice read.

5. The Psychology of Money

The core concept of the book The Psychology of Money is that doing well with money has little to do with how smart you are and a lot to do with how you behave. Luck & risk are factors that are hard to judge in an individual’s financial success.

Review:
“The Psychology of Money” by Morgan Housel completely shattered that notion and opened my eyes to a much more profound truth: financial success isn’t primarily about what you know, but about how you behave. It’s an elegant, thought-provoking guide on how people actually think about money—and how emotions, biases, and behavior often matter far more than knowledge or skill in determining financial outcomes.

To be a successful salesperson, one can harness the power of the subconscious. Whatever we do consciously, our subconscious is always learning, analyzing, and working in the background. It functions even in our sleep. A person with positive self-esteem will always look for ways to repeat their success. A good salesperson first reads (listens to) their customer and understands their requirements well.
