Review 1 – Smart Bitches Trashy Books :

I enjoyed Bride so much that I might put it on the keeper shelf. It’s the first book I’ve read by Ali Hazelwood, so I can’t tell you how it compares to her other work. But I can tell you that while Bride isn’t perfect, it’s a fun, though violent, paranormal romance between a mysterious brooding werewolf leader and a deeply sarcastic vampyre.

Review 2 – Jeevesreads.com :

My love for this one snuck up on me – I’m not usually a big fan of paranormal romance, but I love all things Hazelwood, so I was willing to step outside my comfort zone. And I’m so glad that I did! This jumps right in, immersing the reader into this fantastical world as our couple meets at the altar and gets married right away.

Review 4 – The Geeky Waffle :

Ali Hazelwood’s body of work in the romance genre has consisted of contemporary stories set in and around the world of STEM academia. Yet somehow her next novel, Bride, being an arranged marriage between a werewolf and a vampire seems like a natural next step. What can I say, those of us of a certain generation had very specific interests growing up.

Review 5:

Paranormal has always been one of my favorite tropes. This book didn’t disappoint! I absolutely loved it. Lowe is the alpha, a were-shifter who agrees to marry a vampire for a year and to protect her in exchange for one of his pack living with the vampires for a year as “collateral”.

As his bride, Misery joins him at the altar for them to be married he catches her scent and realizes that she is his mate. Misery is the daughter of the head of the vampire nest that rules the vampires in their local.

From here this book takes you on the journey of discovering Misery’s home life as well as secrets from Lowe’s. There’s angst, assassination attempts, miscommunication, with a perfect love story woven in.
