This story does jump around, starting in 2007 when Molly was taken, up to her present life in 2023. We learn about her home life, and her love for her little sister Layla, who is mentioned in her journal. Molly has been on the run and looking over her shoulder since she escaped the hell she was living in, but when the mysterious Legion offers her a way out, she takes it.

That’s when she meets Cage, the man who helps her create a new life. The two spend one night together before she disappears, but neither of them has forgotten that night, and when they find each other years later, all those feelings come back to the surface. He’s got her back and he’s never going to let her go again.

This was a freaking easy 5⭐️ read!

Molly was sold by her father to Francesca and her buddies… her parents are drug addicts and this will help them buy as many drugs as they need.
Molly manages to escape and returns to take her little sister Layla away from their parents.

After she saves her sister, she receives a call from Legion and she gets offered an escape. That’s where Cage, your typical big, sexy and possessive book boyfriend, comes in and helps her.
Where does she go? And will she come back? Thats for you to find out!

This book has double POVs and two timelines (the past, where Molly goes through all the shit and presence, where you will find out where she went and what happened during all those years)
Please read TW list before you dig in!

Absolutely love how this story brought together the past and present of Mollys story and all the struggles she went through. You can read the Cat & Mouse Diet without asking the question “Where’s Molly?” Reading her journal and seeing how her story unfolds was the perfect ending to this world( or was it?!?!) who knows!

The relationship between Molly and Cage is perfect and of course the absolute killer at the end when She meets Addie and Zade literally tearing up over the reunion of people who had never met but helped each other so throughly.
Wish there was more of these guys and their story didn’t end that’s the only bad part!

 I was so excited to read Molly’s book once I heard it was coming out. She is the young girl who wrote in the journal that Addie finds in the Cat and Mouse duet. Molly’s story was dark, but not overly such. We don’t get a ton of details about her time in captivity, and that was honestly fine with me. This story was about Molly’s journey afterward, how she met Cage, and then reconnecting 9 years later with him again.

I loved her and Cage together so much. He was a light in her very dark world and he provided a kindness and protectiveness that helped her heal old wounds and learn to trust her heart and love again. Cage was funny and so charming and I adored him for her. I would have liked the book to be a little bit longer, only because these two were perfect for each other and I just wanted to stay in their orbit forever.

Same Cage, same. Since reading Hunting, I’ve always wondered about Molly’s story. And like the queen she is, H.D gave it to us.
Buckle up because this story is a heartbreaking one.
How can one girl endure so much and still have the strength to go on? I am in awe of her character and I just love her so much.

I knew this would be emotional but I didn’t expect to cry. I didn’t prepare for the tears…I just really felt for Molly so hard.
