In “Pretty Rings and Broken Things,” the protagonist finds herself entangled in an arranged marriage, a desperate attempt to mend a scandal that could tarnish her family’s reputation. Forced to marry the heir of a rival company, she enters a world of powerful men attempting to fix broken things with pretty rings. Archer Moore, a cold and calculated billionaire, becomes her unexpected protector in this arrangement.
Initially meant for show, the marriage takes an unforeseen turn as Archer’s demands escalate. Living together, kissing, and making their connection look and feel real becomes a part of their scripted reality. Yet, as pretense fades, genuine emotions emerge, and the protagonist questions whether the grudges between their families are insurmountable obstacles for a marriage built on pretty rings and broken things.
Excerpt:
“The marriage was only supposed to be for show, but Archer can be very convincing. He’s demanded we move in together. That we kiss. That we make it look—and feel—real. He’s a man who is obsessed with getting what he wants—and I’m starting to think what he wants is me.”

Review 1:
I enjoyed “Black Ties & White Lies,” but I found myself more invested with “Pretty Rings & Broken Things,” I’m not exactly sure why — I just found myself wanting to read it more when I had to put it down. It’s a pretty long book (see what I did there?), so I don’t think most people would sit and read it in one sitting. It’s an age gap romance, (whether that’s your thing or not!) with Archer being I believe about 10 years, maybe a little more, older than her.
Buried in a Bookshelf
The age gap kind of adds to it feeling a little coercion-y in how they first get together, mostly because it’s an arranged marriage, but obviously it ends up working out for the best. With that being said, I really did like Winnie and Archer together. He’s drawn to her right from the start, even though he didn’t want to see her as much more than a business transaction. He’s immediately very protective over her, both with her family and with outside forces. Read More

Review 3:
Kat Singleton has done it again and I am so blessed to have read this book. The characters she builds and the way she weaves all the ends from different stories is amazing to see. Not only that she also did an amazing job with overlapping timelines.

Review 4:
Just finished reading “pretty rings and broken rings” and of my god. Author can you please tell me where can I get an Archer Moore for myself. 😩. I mean that man doesn’t even know that he isn’t a cold hearted business man but a total cinnamon roll. The way he calls her “my wife” , the “one bedroom” trope 🫣 and I can totally tell you all this time this trope isn’t gonna disappoint you all 🤭.

And oh the 5 chapters long spice scene 😩. Ngl , it might sound silly but just before this scene I was eating a spicy ramyeon and Archer Moore was throwing one on one hot one liners that it made me think if my Ramyeon was more hot or the Archer Moore ❤️🔥❤️🔥.
Review 5:
My cheeks hurt from smiling 😊. This book was so beautifully written, the characters were mesmerising. I loved their banter and to see the relationship blossom.
