The devoted and driven single dad who will stop at nothing for his family but the clear unwavering respect and loyalty towards Everly was on point. Not going to lie Cross had me hooked from the beginning… plus their banter was great… but hot dam!

Cross is…well the most amazing book boyfriend ever. Firstly he sweeps Everly off her feet when they first meet, literally, and from there he just keeps getting better. And he comes with baggage, in the form of two sweet littles, and a God of War and a sister!
What can we say about Everly? I fell for her in Lindy’s book and now that we got to know her better, she is the heart of this crazy family they all have. She is so much more than beauty, and Cross shows her it every day.

I found Bella Matthews when “The Keeper” came out and I will be 100% honest with you, the majority of the books that I am reading right now are all hockey romance novels.

These types of book know how to bring the witty, banter, fun with friends, the BEST group text between friends, touch her and die vibes, and the SPICE, they bring the BEST spice, and so much more. I knew “The Wildcat” was going to be amazing by how we meet Everly/Evie in “The Keeper” she is a twin and according to the friend group she is the “evil twin” and she has all the come backs and banter and listening to the exchange between her and Madman are the absolute best!
You don’t even have to get through a full chapter until you are already getting some of that wonderful spice Bella Matthews is so great at!! Watching the one girl out of all the girls who was ADAMANT on NO hockey players, no relationships, hadn’t even thought about kids, and only something casually if of anything ends up being sought by 1 – a hockey player 2 – a guy who does NOT do casual 3 – an older guy with 2 kids.
Watching their story develop and how patient he was for her to learn everything since it was all new to her was just amazing. This story tugged at the heart strings and even will get you a little teary eyed in places by just watching their love grow and watching Cross’s kids grow close to Everly. I am excited for Grace, Everly’s twin sister next!!

How does she manage to bring new stories full of life, love, and experiences that we all go through at one point in our lives. The Wildcat was a book experience I wasn’t ready for, but it was something I needed in my life and didn’t know it.
The Wildcat is a story about Everly and Cross, the chemistry these two share helps them hit it off right away. Cross is a man that shows what he is made off, instead of just showing off with no result. He shows Everly he needs a man, someone that can be her rock when she needs it the most. Who doesn’t love a hot swoony single dad with an adorable Princess and a little Prince. Cross was the perfect book boyfriend , I fell for him just like Everly. I honestly couldn’t put this book down and I devoured every word. I loved seeing some familiar faces and even some new ones. This series and universe just keeps getting better and better. I loved how strong Everly was but boy does everyone need their very own Cross in their corner. I would definitely recommend this five-star book / series / universe , it’s a brilliant read. I’m so excited for the next book.
